Kingston is a small town at the southern end of Lake Wakatipu and home of the historic Kingston Flyer steam train. Kingston Motels and Holiday Park is a stunning 30 minute drive from Queenstown Airport and a 1½ hours drive from Te Anaua so we are an ideal stopover on the way to/from Milford Sound. We are a 25 minute drive from the entrance to the Remarkable Ski Fields. Our accommodation is the best-value in the Wakatipu area. You don’t need to pay Queenstown prices to enjoy all that the Southern Lakes area has to offer!
Kingston is a place where Kiwis come for their holidays and you will see many examples of cribs, the South Island word for holiday home. Drop in and join the cribbies for a drink in the local Tavern. And, if you’re here in the summer, don’t miss Kingstock, Kingston’s answer to Woodstock.
Our accommodation options include Spacious powered and unpowered campervan sites, Motel units, Tourist Cabins and Budget Cabins in a variety of layouts and sizes. Visit our website for details.
Our Powered Sites are spacious and quiet and available for motor-homes, campervans and caravans. If you get here early, you are welcome to choose your own site, under the trees or beside the Kingston Creek. We are able to accommodate large buses, campervans and caravans. We have a spacious secluded area for campers and you can choose where to pitch your tent.
The Holiday Park is set out as a woodland park, with mature trees and the Kingston Creek runs through the grounds. Use our modern kitchen to cook dinner, or use the BBQ. Relax in our cosy television room, or Skype your friends on the Internet. Our hot showers are not metered.
