Waikuku Beach Holiday Park is a truly oceanside camp some 33km north of Christchurch, and is a popular spot for weekenders from Christchurch as well as international travellers.
The beautiful Waikuku beach, which has excellent golden sand and solid surfing waves, also has the only manned surf school near Christchurch (full time during school holidays, part time otherwise). It's also worth taking a walk 1km up the coast to where several estuaries meet the ocean, which is a destination for many rare migratory birds.
Waikuku Beach Holiday Park accommodation includes well equipped Tourist Cabins, together with spacious Powered and Unpowered sites for Motorhomes, Caravans and Campers. Our sites are well laid out to provide privacy, and you can enjoy the relaxing sound of the surf at night.
The interesting layout of meandering sealed roads and grouped campsites make for a community atmosphere.
There are avenues of mature trees in the spacious grounds and the at the entrance or the park is an office with camp store.
Our tree lined park is just 100 meters from the beach through forested shelter belt. Flying fox, skateboard ramp, tennis court, basketball court, and internet access ensure a great holiday for the kids, and fishermen will enjoy the excellent beach fishing!
