Kaka Point Camping Ground is on the Catlins Coast, 20 km south of Balclutha. Our park is surrounded by native bush and birds such as Tuis, Bell Birds, Wood Pigeons, Wax Eyes.
Kaka Point Camping Ground enjoys a peaceful setting, adjacent to tennis courts and bowling club, across the road from a playground, 400m to a safe beach, shop, cafe, and bar.
The Clutha River is 5km away where you can enjoy trout and salmon fishing. At Nugget Point 10km away there are seals, sealions, yelloweyed penguins and large variety of sea birds.
Kaka Point Camping Ground accommodation includes 4 berth Cabins, together with sheltered Powered and Non Powered Sites. We feel our prices could not get any better. We want to make your holiday enjoyable without all the extra costs.
Local attractions and things to see and do include:
- 10 minute drive to Roaring Bay to see Yellow Eyed Penguins
- The Clutha river is close by for trout and salmon fishing
Swimming and surfing beaches are just a short walk away
- Tennis court,
- Bowling club
- Bushwalking
- Birdwatching
- Photographers paradise!
We are very family orientated and have something for everyone to enjoy which will give the parents some time to relax while the children are off exploring the beautiful wildlife.
