Pinedale Motor Camp is a traditional family run camp in a tranquil bush setting. 9km west of Havelock, turn off SH6 at Canvastown, 8km on sealed road.
The river invites you to swim, pan for gold or have fun on a tube (equipment available). Old tailrace tunnels can be explored by the light of the myriad glow-worms.
There are BBQ griddles in the grounds, a sandpit and a tower playground for the children. The kitchen has all amenities and treated drinking water.
In the laundry are an auto washer and dryer and cool locker storage. Alongside is a communal room for games or TV, with potbelly fireplace.
If you have stayed before, you will be delighted by our brand new, upgraded showers, and new play fort for the children! We also have a new addition of a piglet - Dale, who childen and adults alike are sure to love.
Recyclycling is a priority here. The camp is alive with bird life and other tiny critters. An animal farm is being developed. Your genial hosts, Mark and Mary will lend you a gold pan to try your luck. This is a great environment for kids!
Our Easter Fun Day was a great success. Children and adults alike had lots of fun with an Easter egg hunt, following clues for the treasure hunt, and getting stuck into the sandpit looking for treats in the big dig.
Our latest addition is 4 little bantam hens - after several weeks of anticiaption they have now laid their first eggs - tiny pale blue ones the size of a pingpong ball!
